Overview:
In May 2008, TravelMail celebrated it’s first birthday. One year after the site was built TravelMail has matured from fledgling newspaper travel site into a one stop destination for busy travellers in need of inspiration and advice. We have successfully forged a unique identity in the midst of a full and noisy travel market.
Unlike other newspaper travel websites, TravelMail is independent. We maintain archival content from the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday but we also produce much of our own editorial material including reviews, articles, competitions and, of course, the popular TravelMail blog.
Site traffic has steadily increased over the past year and we currently welcome around 200,000 unique users per month. As a result of our sustained efforts, numbers have grown steadily over that past year. This month will see our highest audience figures to date with over 250,000 people visiting our site generating more than 2.5 million page impressions.
Being an ad led site we are always interested in pursuing new ventures with commercial partners. To date we have hosted a number of very successful promotions which have contributed significantly to our overall traffick. Other exciting new collaborations that we have undertaken include the recent Inspirational Europe supplement that was featured in the Daily Mail.
First and foremost however,TravelMail is an editorial site that aims to inform and inspire its readers. Our dedicated editorial team not only write and edit website content, they also produce and present their own audio and video elements to compliment the written material. Regular features and colourful characters ensure that TraveMail provides a welcoming, friendly environment in which people can seek out the information they need.
