Standard.co.uk provides London with news content that gets under the skin of issues that affect the city and its population. Building on the heritage and expertise of the Evening Standard writers, the site provides a London take on the day's events. If something happens in the capital Standard.co.uk is the natural destination for London's online population. It lets the world know what London is thinking.

Interactivity is key and over 2,000 user comments are submitted to the site every week. Standard.co.uk allows users to publish their comments alongside articles, as well as participating in daily debates and voting in the daily poll, the results of which are publsihed both online and in the newspaper.

The site also hosts columnist pages from the Evening Standard's team of journalists including Will Self and Brian Sewell as well as blogs on topics such as science and technology, health, consumer affairs and London politics.
